Roger Scannura (Composer, flamenco guitarist) is an internationally recognized flamenco guitarist and a
leading exponent of Nuevo Flamenco. Roger Scannura has composed and recorded 11 cds. of original flamenco guitar music. He has done several world tours and performed in some of the majors concert halls in the world.

Roger Scannura is from the history drenched island of Malta. He was educated in a monastery where he studied art ,art restoration and music. He spent twelve years is Spain learning flamenco from Spanish masters such s Pepe Habichuela and others. He has recorded eleven albums of original music and done several word tours with flamenco dance companies. He is a judge on the Grammys. He is also a professor of flamenco at York University.He has been music director with Ritmo Flamenco since 1995 along with his wife Valerie Scannura artistic director, choreographer and founder.
